In her ceramic installation, Linda Luse works with clay minerals that come from the contaminated soil in the municipality of Leonding. Elevated concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as forever chemicals, have been detected there. PFAS are widely used for their water and grease resistance properties. However, they are toxic in high concentrations and biologically non-degradable.
